Living In The Moment

This post is dedicated to smiling more and enjoying the little things in life. Don’t you ever wish time would just slow down? Over the past couple of months, I have been faced with the thought that time is going by way too fast. I remember, when I was a little kid, I couldn’t wait to grow up! Time moved so slow and it felt like every year took forever to pass by. I really wish I was more appreciative of those years. I’m 20 years old now, and yes that might still be considered “young”, but it’s getting down to that time of my life to make some major choices! I’ll soon be done with college (I can’t believe I just finished my second year), and then I’ll be living on my own working in the real world. I never imagined these days would come; I always thought it would be so long before I would be faced with all of these decisions. Yes I still have a long road ahead of me, but I’ve realized that I need to really appreciate the little things in life, the things that most people overlook on a daily basis. There is no time in this already short life of mine to be upset about something that happened years ago or sad about past problems. I need to focus on the moment, not the past or the future. You might be asking yourself…why not focus on the future? Well, I believe it’s best to live and focus on the moment you are living in right now rather that focusing on something that is already bound to happen. Just think about that for a change. Just take a second and look around at the beautiful world outside. Take a walk, enjoy the cool breeze at night, and most importantly don’t waste any time! There is not enough of it in the world.
