Plain & Simple

By the title of this post, you can obviously tell that I enjoy the simple things in life. I don’t need a lot of fancy things or extravagant clothes; simplicity and comfort is what I look for. This theme has kind of taken over my life. Not in a bad way, but more in a way that I look at things. There is no need to make life complicated, just keep it plain and simple.

Keeping this ongoing theme in mind, I decided to come up with my most plain and simple outfit. This outfit has to be comfortable, basic, and neutral-all of my favorite trends with clothing. As you can see, I am wearing neutral colors, like black and white, along with some relaxed boyfriend cutoff jean shorts.

This black sweater is from Brandy Melville (I also have this sweater in beige) and I wear this all the time-around the house, out and about, etc. It is the ultimate summer sweater because it is so light and goes with everything. My white tank is from Zara, which I just purchased this last weekend in the city, for only $10! What a steal, right? Every girl needs simple white shirts and tanks for an everyday kind of style. My boyfriend style cutoffs are from H&M, which I also purchased this past weekend. I fell in love with these shorts when I tried them on because they are loose fitting but also flattering. They are perfect for moving around or just lounging-I am definitely taking them on my trip to Japan. Just to spice this outfit up a little bit, I decided to wear my purple flower converse high-tops. I bought these in Barney’s and I haven’t seen them anywhere else. I love the design on them and the vibe they bring along.
