Back To Reality

Some of you might be wondering why it’s been over a week since my last blog post! Well to fill you in, this past week has been extremely busy and exciting! My brother and I got to take our first trip to Japan with my grandma! She is full Japanese, and still has a lot of family in Japan-so we went to visit relatives and experience the full Asian culture.

I have never been anywhere in Asia before, and let me tell you, it’s a whole other world over there! To start, everything is so small; including the people, streets, cars, food portions, beds, and rooms! Luckily for me it wasn’t that big of a problem, but for my bother who is 6″3, it was a little more challenging!  It was also pretty difficult for my brother and I because we don’t speak Japanese, but thankfully we had my grandma who would translate back and forth for us.

Our days consisted of eating, shopping, site-seeing, and spending time with family. My favorite part of the trip was getting to visit a whole bunch of temples! They are so old and really have so much to tell from their designs-they are so beautiful! I especially loved going to the temples up in the mountains; buried deep in the forests. I really loved how peaceful and quiet the temples were, and there were always incense burning inside!

This trip was far from a fashion outing-the heat and humidity were unbelievably uncomfortable, not to mention it rained almost every day! So don’t mind my outfits, I was going more for a comfortable style since we were walking around most of the time! I hope you enjoy these pictures; looking back at them now makes me want to explore the treasures that Asia has to offer even more!
