Playing Catch-Up

Some of you might have noticed that it’s been quite a while since my last blog post. I apologize for this, but to be completely honest my life has been a little crazy lately! Moving back to San Luis Obispo is always an exciting and busy time. I get to catch up with all of my friends, start school, get used to living on my own again, and go through sorority recruitment. I haven’t had much down time lately, but as the year comes to an end, I will write more and more. It’s just always those first couple of weeks back at college that really are time consuming! So, where shall I start?

Probably the best thing about coming back to college is seeing all of my really close friends. Since all of us had such a busy summer, it was hard to get together. But since school is back in action, we picked up right where we left off. One of the big events that has taken place in my friendship circle is Laura’s 21st Birthday! She is the first one out of all of us to turn 21 and we could not be more excited for her. Now all we have to do is wait a few more months and we can all go to Vegas together!

Another exciting thing about school starting up again is sorority recruitment! Could any of you picture me as a sorority girl? I am a member of Alpha Phi at Cal Poly and couldn’t be happier about it! Recruitment is a very, very time consuming activity. Even though I was one of the “group leaders” of recruitment and didn’t actually have to go through recruitment with my sorority, I was still very busy! Recruitment has come to an end though, and I could not be more excited about our new pledge class.

I am looking forward to this school year and all of the adventures to come. I will make sure to photograph and write about these exciting times! My future blog posts might not all be about fashion or cooking, but more about friendships and fun activities to try! I can’t believe I’m already a junior in college; where has time gone? It’s time to start living my life and enjoying every little bit of excitement it has to offer.
